CLAIMING CROWN SHOWCASE DAY AUGUST 21, 2025 AT COLONIAL DOWNS: Don’t miss the opportunity to earn an automatic entry into their respective race for the top two finishers in each division of the Claiming Crown to be run November 15 at Churchill Downs. The winner (only) of each race will also receive a travel stipend of up to $2,000, courtesy the Virginia HBPA, provided that horse starts in the 2025 Claiming Crown at Churchill Downs.
There are no nominations or starter fees to start in the Claiming Crown qualifiers at Colonial Downs.
