Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa, will run a $50,000 Claiming Crown prep race on July 26 with the top three finishers earning a free berth to the Kent Stirling Claiming Crown Iron Horse at Churchill Downs on November 16. Both races are run at 1 1/16 miles under $8,000 lifetime starter allowance conditions. The entry day for the Prairie Meadows race is July 19.
